Redmi 4a is driven with a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 500MHz GPU, while Redmi 4 is driven with a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with Adreno 505 450MHz. Both the models of Xiaomi come with 3 GB of RAM accompanied with 32GB of in-built storage. The storage of both the models is expandable up to 128 GB.
According to the price of the smart phone, the quality of the camera is quite good than the rest of the gadgets in same range. Both the models have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera accompanied with PDAF flash. They are also provided with feature like face recognition and self-timer for a better photographic experience.
Both the smartphones support dual SIM with hybrid slots. Hybrid slots refer to that either you can upgrade the memory of your phone or use dual SIM support. Both the model is enabled to other connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi Direct feature is also enabled in both the smartphones. Both the models are VoLTE enables, i.e. they support 4G calling features.
- Battery and Software-
Redmi 4a is provided with a 3120-mah powerful non-removable battery, while Redmi 4 runs on a 4100-mah non-removable battery. All the Xiaomi handsets have their skin referred to as MIUI, and both the handsets is driven with the latest MIUI, i.e. MIUI 8. Redmi 4a has an operating system of Android 6.0, while Redmi 4 has a better operating system of 6.0.1, but no worries even Redmi 4a can be upgraded as soon as the new upgrades are rolling in the market.
- Other Features-
Both the smartphones are accustomed to the new features in the market. Both have features like accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. Redmi 4 has an extra compass feature in-built, which Redmi 4a lacks.
